Gladwin should have tried a shot. Except he doesn’t do that anymore.

Again, Williams flopping to the floor at every opportunity is a bit tiresome
Best player on the pitch when hes on the ball for me.

To be fair a lot of the Lee Power era is a blur as I wasn't going and very disillusioned.

I think he got a bad injury early on at Wolves and was released.

overall feel like Town is controlling the ball and making some nice opportunities....

didnt see first for sutton but 2nd was a rocket so not sure defense could do much...

just need to keep controlling and then taking opportunity to get the ball in the box...cant score if the ball is always outside the box.  overall entertaining...

Fair ht result. Neither team looks good at the back but we look far far too open when they break on us.
I reckon it'll end 2-2 and both teams will have a player sent off

Well that was ‘interesting’. Pretty much both teams playing like school kids flying forward without out any real set up or tactics on display, out of possession both teams are hopeless and cut open with ease.

We look like we will score but at the same time every attack they have looks like we will concede.

We’ve had a week to work on the training ground and get the set up and tactics right but it’s really not showing, it’s just chaos on that pitch with both teams to be honest.

A really odd half. A huge amount of fun to watch, but think any coach would be despairing at that. We have some individual talent, our systems and patterns of play look entirely absent.

Still, better this than shit and dull.

Well, that was a bit bad yet fun.

I'm like a dog with a bone on this one, I think our recruitment has been poor and we have a lower level of ability in our team this year.  We also seem a bit meh when it comes to how we want to play, there is nothing really there that shows us trying to impose much of anything on the other team.

What this game is doing, unfortunately, is proving Flitcrofts approach has merit at this level.  I am not suggesting I ever wish to see it again, but if we just look at some of the principles I am sure a team could be built that way with a much more appealing style.  Put your talent upfront, get them the ball near the other teams goal and wait for shit defending to occur at L2 level.  Have four central defenders as your back four - they won't ever attack but all four should be able to defend and enjoy defending.

Somehow, both of these sides had quite good defensive records before today.

Big fan of half time Cher.
