Not a royalist by any stretch. But RIP.

Feel sorry for Harry, who was unable to make it. Shows that blood should be thicker than water.

Even though she was 96 it still feels like a shock. The new Elizabethan era is over and we have a king. The first King most of us will have been alive to witness.

I'm in the monarchy is nonsense school of thought.

Having said that, hope that the kids & their families made it to Balmoral in time.
It's always painful to lose a parent.

ERII has been a constant throughout all of our lives, so her passing is worthy of a fair bit of pause for thought & contemplation.

Anyway, a deserved RIP after a life dedicated to duty through an accident of birth that would have driven the majority of us to drink or worse if faced with the same.

Anyone started off any Truss rumours yet?  She was a staunch anti-monarchist in her youth I think, and she only just met the Queen.

And unlikely any of us will see a queen again.

I reckon she was holding on just to see Boris go.
