Shame but the opening fixture result looks like it's affected sales for this one. Looking around 8k at the moment.

In 85/86 under Macari we only won 2 of the first 8 games, winning 2 and drawing one including losing the first 2 of the season yet still won the league at a canter with the record points haul of 102. We failed to score in 5 of the 7 games and shipped 14 goals.

At no point in the fuirst 7 games did we look like a side that had even played together before, I am hoping that this season pans out the same.

Last season Bristol Rovers lost their first 3 games and had 4 defeats and 1 draw in the first 6 games yet won promotion on the final day.

Teams need time to build fitness and togetherness and to put their stamp on a style of play and I feel we are still at least 4 games away from having that and I predict it will get worse before it gets better on the pitch.

Salford have made some good signings for this level and had a strong team last season that bullied and cheated their wa to a win at the CG, I dont see that changing this weekend.

Can't make it unfortunately.

Hopefully a week on the training ground will result in a bit more cohesion & some link ups developing down the flanks on Saturday.

Would be a good idea to get the centre forward involved as well.
Apart from a hint or two that Tomi can play with his back to goal, over 2 games still can't say if he's actually any good or not.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

100% this.

I have no idea if Tomi can actually play or not because he has had no service at all in the 2 games he has played.

Also please swap Hutton and Shade, thank you. Hutton played last season as RWB at Barrow and Shade played LWB at Walsall yet we play them on the opposite flanks.

2 nil loss, with a toxic atmosphere kicking off when the 2nd goes in..

1-0 win, a few early nervy moments but a late second half winner sends the punters home happy and does an absolute world of good for supporter morale.

Currently at the county ground watching SCCC struggle.

I fear that my trip to the other county ground will also be filled with disappointment.

0-3 away win.

Ha, I was going to predict 0-2 as well. Think you are probably spot on about the atmosphere going toxic as well if it goes the way we both have predicted. I'd at least like to see signs of potential on Saturday, even if we do get beat. If we surrender meekly like at Harrogate it's not going to be pleasant at all.

No McKirdy in the matchday squad - murmurings of discontent.

Another insipid performance - pashun boiling over.

Lindsey defends the indefensible.

Piece of piss 4-1.

Surely we can find a suitably sized shirt for Clem to wear..  this is not 2021/2022..
