The Killers - Mr Brightside

Saw it live on the first album tour, it was amazing a they were amazing. But fuck me, I can't stand that song and all the pricks singing along to it.

A man once requested Scatman in a bar. I remembered it as being shit but he was nice enough so I played it and the place went mental. I think it's always worth revisiting things - I have it fixed in my mind that tunes that I thought were crap 10/20 years ago are always that way. Vengaboys - Boom, Boom, Boom, for example. Would've turned my nose up at it a couple of years ago but it's actually brilliant.

Love Mitch Benn, met him many times and seen his live show at least 7 times, a great bloke for a scouser Smiley and yes totally agree on the Smiths Smiley most over rated band since Oasis Wink

Yeah, top bloke.

Did you ever see him do his 'Oasis' song? About 15 different Beatles songs in it!

For nearly 50 years that bloke who's been lamenting his next door neighbour leaving, has everyone in earshot loudly demanding to know who she is. Personally, I couldn't give a flyer who Alice is, and I just don't get why anyone else should.

Macarena (and Wigfield's 'Saturday Night') are shite songs. But they served a purpose in many a pissed up (student) nightclub.

Nobody knows the word to Macarena

something something mumble mumble
something something mumble mumble
something something mumble mumble
Hey Macarena

Yes but the more pertinent question is where did the the Saturday Night dance come from and how comes everyone knew it (…or knew of it)

Osmosis. Alien implant. I assumed the video, but that's just her prancing around in a towel.

Whigfield is 52 now. Then I realised that's not much older than me. Bollocks.

He is a great bloke and yes I have seen him perform Oasis several times, he is not a fan of Mancs Smiley although my favourite is "Ikea".

Loved him when he was on Steve Wrights afternoon show as "Ask Elvis" utterly brilliant.

Not when used in conjunction with the words "(insert name) has died and was only aged 52". Smiley
