Just watching the play off game with Sheffield Utd on Sky.

I’d forgotten what a decent side we had!

A lot of players who have gone on to have food careers - And Anton Rodgers!

I'm sure you didn't mean the spelling but I suspect Anton Rogers did go onto have a career in the food industry.

Charlie Austin went on holiday to Dubai recently. One of my friends i was out with tonight also went and saw him go into first class on the plane, and was next to him at the baggage reclaim part at Dubai Aiport.

Surprised he has the time, he seems very busy at the moment trying to sell French Bulldog puppies on Instagram, having to keep my missus away from the posts, one Frenchie in the house is quite enough.

I'm not French, only the dog is, albeit she was actually born and bred in Runcorn! albeit my step mum had to formally adopt me when they lived in France for inheritance law reasons.

Someone on our whatsapp group posed this question and I don't know so wondered if there was a logical reason why for the Sous chef vacancy it says to send the CV to someone who works at one of our sponsors. I think they do IT and recruitment so it might be normal practice but wondered whether anyone had any input at all?

I guess they are providing a "weed out CV" service so the club gets to concentrate on the higher quality candidates.

Not that unusual for a company to handle recruitment for another up to a point.

I'd imagine the head chef does the final phase.

But I don't *know*

Yeah that's logical Batch. Perhaps as part of the sponsorship arrangement it was agreed they might take on recruitment of 'non-football' type roles I guess.

I imagine Kev is doing it to help out as well tbf. I know he volunteers alot of his own time to helping Clem behind the scenes and despite being a gobby northerner does some bloody good work behind the scenes. I imagine the least he deserves is to choose a good chef

Sure I read somewhere that it’s nearly 10 years since we got further than the 1st round of the Caribou Cup.

111 years ago today, seems like our ability to fuck things up in the last 10 minutes of games is not a new thing! Bit more exciting that Bristol City behind closed doors.

To be fair, we don't know when Jefferson scored, so it could well have been a last minute goal to salvage a draw. But yes, 2 goals in the last 10 minutes was a thing even back then! I was going to suggest there might have been a J.Morris on the bench, but in 1912 there was no such thing!
