I think the club next season, should Piss Pile not go up, boycott any offer of away tickets to their ground and hit them in the pocket. Wether they do that for the home fixture is another thing but it is food for thought.

@doomster, there is a suggestion Sky showed Egbo's leg playing him on. Can't say I see it in that pic, but there you go

It looked onside in the replay on Sky, either way it was very marginal and certainly not how Doomster has described it.

Given where we were a week before the season it is hell of an achievement to get so close. Doesn’t make it easier to swallow though.  The first rule of penalty taking hit the fucking target!!!

Can’t wait for straws failing to be clutched about the attendance at the final 🙄

Just spotted the Wembley Arch from the train.
Now receding into the distance.
So near & yet so far.

Looking forward to the inevitable jail time and lifetime bans. Scum. Looking forward to their visit next season.

A striker and a midfield enforcer* away from automatics.

Cost us in the semi final too.

was hoping to stay in the league at the start of the season, that's the perspective

a dismantled squad and the unknown of whether the chance will come again soon is the reality of the summer

*assuming garner used him. Gladwin did ok to be going even though it's not his strength

I hope the extra fans who have come back this season continue to support the club. It's been fantastic to see this season.

I think we should shake our heads while muttering something under our breath in the most British of ways.

On a serious note there is one very easy way to stop the nasty scenes we’ve seen this week on a couple of occasions. Any pitch invasion should result in one game behind closed doors and/or points deduction. Policing and stewarding cannot stop it happening, you would literally need 1000’s of them

I take my comments on pitch invasions back.

it seems a new mentality has surfaced. see Everton and of course Vale last night.

'we' can't behave, we can't have them

but how to you (police) stop them?

The Everton one went completely against what I said yesterday about how pitch invasions are harmless if the losing team aren’t rivals and had nothing to play for.

The lack of brain power from an Everton fan to go after the Palace (who had nothing to play for & aren’t rivals) Manager (who hasn’t played for any of Everton's rivals) is one thing. It’s another level when that Palace Manager is Patrick Vieira, he’s isn’t gonna think twice about kicking you’re head in. One of the hardest players the Premier League has ever had.
