God Vale are scum. Manager assaulting Conroy, fans assaulting players on their pitch, players spent 2 games trying to kick the shit out of us.
We weren't good enough in the first half, but we should have had a penalty at 0-0. Refereeing has been awful all season and it's typical we are at the wrong end of such a blatant decision. Better team after half time but as per much of the season, just lacked the ability to put it in the net.
Hope Mansfield stuff them.

I fancy going to Wembley anyway,  Mansfield ticket. Have a word with the cunts.

I’m find it very difficult to understand McKirdys reaction after his penalty miss.

I’m also struggling with it.

What a season, Town. Everyone can take credit for it. Port Vale probably deserved to win , but they should also be held responsible for the scenes at the end. It was not exactly rocket science that that was going to happen.

He was laughing in a slightly disbelieving way. Tbh I can understand it, I wasn't far off myself. Just felt a bit too 'narrative' you know?

Can't argue with the result.

Shame a load of their fans turned out to be thugs. What goes around...

Are you planning to take on all of the 50 odd supporters who might make the trip?

Sports players often are told to express their emotions in a way that won’t negatively affect things going forward. In particular tennis players, they often smile or laugh rather than smashing up their racquet. It may have been the same here. We did well tonight. Gutted to lose. In a pub in London had a lot of people watching only for the pens. Obviously a few wind up merchants giving it the bigun shouting “come on port vale” etc. I told them where to go. At least when we lost their were no further follow ups to their comments. Been to 22 games this season (new personal record) and a lot of new grounds with Wobbly Bob et al. Wouldn’t have expected playoffs at the start of the season, very proud of the players, management and fans to make it this far.

Better to lose now than in the final. Hopefully Vale take  their full 9k fanbase and learn an expensive lesson  Smiley
