PV are doing what they need to do. As long as we hold them off, they'll run out of steam eventually

Credit to Vale. They've never stopped pressing.  You've got to hope they tail off, I agree.

Worst half this season, and that's even comparing against Newport and Orient.

HT 0-1

Vale took the game to us, still all to play for though.

Let’s see what Garner is made of. We’ve seen none of that intensity he was talking about. Almost all of our team look way off it or generally Not that interested.

Don't get the gloom. Yes,first 20 shocking but we've settled reasonably well. Final ball is all

The one positive from that half is we're still in the game and hope Garner rips into them.

Jeez.

Positives first - I think Ellis Iandolo has been outstanding. Unfortunately games aren't often won from left back but he's been excellent in attack and defence. Otherwise, in the last ten minutes we've grown into the game and calmed the crowd.

The flip side is that the first 35 minutes was an absolute disasterclass. Can probably raise an eyebrow at the refereeing but I think the handball was probably outside the box and the offside probably too close to call with Egbo's foot. More pertinent is that we got absolutely overrun. Vale played really well, put themselves about a bit but played football as well. We really struggled with the wider pitch.

This is where the manager earns his money. Over to you Ben Garner, it's level. 45 minutes to Wemble and we'll consign that first half hour to the rubbish bin of history. Come on you Reds

Well that went exactly how I expected in all honesty. We look so poor.

Some positive spin.  To go in only 1-0 down is a result for us.  Still level on aggregate, and a chance to recover & rebuild.  Most important HT talk now of Garner's career.

Agreed, that was far from the worst half of the season, yes we were poor but we are still in it and ended better.
