Our tentative plan fwiw is to do the bulk of the drinking in and around New Street Station and then get the train to the Bescot around 1.30/2 ish. It looks like there are about 4 trains an hour to Bescot stadium. Worst comes to the worst we can jump in an Uber. I don't think there is anything around the ground in Walsall so thirsty people will be much better served in Brum.

We discovered the Sir Charles Napier when we were there for the FA Cup game. It's in walking distance of the ground and welcomed away fans. Not a great pub though. |
