I reckon there is a good chance of us meeting Mansfield at Wembley if we keep our form up

The fact that Rovers haven't scored 7 since 1964 underlines how freakish their win is. Northampton have a strong case should they make a complaint.

I'm still really sorry the ref didn't abandon that. What complete knobs they are.

…let’s add some context. They needed to score 7 and go for it. They were playing the worst team in the football league. The opposition have put the kids out the last few games. It’s not really that much of surprise, certainly not to be. I expected it…

Or perhaps Barton sent threats to the Scunthorpe managers' wife

We might have filled it if the game was on the Sunday.

They put out the kids out against Hartlepool but there was nothing on the game so maybe Northampton do have a case.

Teams with nothing to play for have been putting out the kids on the last game of the season for years. Not worth investigating, if we were in that position we’d be delighted. Just because it’s Rovers people don’t like it.

First and most important - Get in Town! 2nd - Rovers, wankers. Not only did Scunny play kids; the 14 min pitch invasion delay meant that they had the luxury of knowing exactly what they needed to do to go up. Which would def have been an advantage
