Congrats Jojo.  And good luck.

Many tweets etc designating you MOM.  Admiration for your reflexes and saves.

Criticism still of long, heavy footed kicks and some for hesitancy in commanding the box.

Hopefully you'll get a chance to train more with the team in the WC build up.

Meanwhile come and do it for us back here.

Let’s hope he’s still a Town player by the time the World Cup comes around

Pretty shocking post match scenes but qualifying for his country will have been massive boost for Jojo, imo.  40,000 fans in the 0-0 in Ghana and 60,000 yesterday in the 1-1 in Nigeria (conceding only a pen) - on the back of quite widespread doubts about him expressed previously - will more likely have done plenty for his confidence.  A play off final would be unlikely to phase him now.

Obviously all this does mean he is more likely to move on - and especially if we fail to go up this season.  Ex Blackpool keeper, Richard Kingson, apparently a bit of a legend in Ghana, is the GK coach there.

STFC need to send out a few Wollacott STFC shirts to Ghana right now!

Here's Jojo, loudly applauded, introducing himself and the [now] famous Swindon Town to the President of Ghana.

I actually think Ghana making the World Cup will help us keep him. I can’t see many clubs wanting to sign a new goalkeeper knowing he’s going to miss a minimum of a month of the season, add the friendlies etc before and after, he could end up missing a 1/4 of the season.

He’ll be missing a quarter of the season with us, too.

TBH I would rather we have a good keeper for 3/4 of the season than a bog average one for a whole season.
