First time to Bradford and I’m now in the 2nd half of the 92 (47/92 completed now). Rode our luck massively in the first 10 mins and then conceded when we’d started to get a hold on the game. Great equaliser, great flick by McKirdy. 2nd half was end to end still and to be honest both sides could have added a couple, we had Aguir have one cleared off the line and their keeper made a worldy just before our pen. They had a spell that hit the bar twice and had a couple other chances too.

Fair fucks to Garner I’ve been crying out for him to change it in game when we’re under the cosh and the move to the back 5 helped, Baudry brought composure to the defence and was winning his fair share of headers. Feels like it could be a momentum turner, really great win and great spirit at the end.

FWIW on Mckirdy, the handball seemed an instinctive arm up as if he was playing with mates in the park. Very avoidable but honestly wouldn’t be too critical. You could tell he was pissed off with himself for doing it

Take that as we rode our luck at times.
Bradford won’t be pushovers this season and will take some points off the top teams.
Cracking atmosphere and the stewards were joining in the singing. Unreal pressure the last kick of the game and slammed it home.
Cracking banter with the away fans and the home fans separated with a few feet of netting and stewards that knew how to manage crowds with polite methods and not the Stevenage approach.

A long drive and another Tuesday but that today just class because we would have settled for a battling point.

Not anymore mate 😂
Not worth the tax but the petrol tank bloody expensive.
Mind you a breeze in the park after that Carlisle adventure. That will be a late one Tuesday.

Ah right I didn't realise and a superb effort considering the escalating cost

Reflections on yesterday
Valley Parade is a great place to watch football and Bradford fans (and us) created a greally good atmosphere
I still hate drums at a game though
A very decent game of football with several excellent chances at both ends
Reed is technically as good a midfield as we have had at this level and imo is a Championship quality player
McKirdy is worth the admission fee on his own and is improving all the time
Davison just has to stay fit, as he gives us an outlet, which nobody else in our squad can do
Payne's composure for the penalty was impressive
You cant beat a last kick of the match winning goal
Bradford had 2x 10 minute spells where they absolutely battered us
On another day, we lose that match 3-1
We showed great character and energy at the end
Garner successfully changed it up by going back to Plan A, with 5 at the back
Mamma Mia is a lovely Italian restaurant, only a few 20 minute walk from the ground
The Ska music venue was an interesting place, with some interesting characters in it
Burnley fans asking about Ben Garner at the services confused me a little until I realised they were from Bristol
Overall a brilliant away day and on to Exeter, where we will likely be down to the bare bones if AK and Tomlinson are out injured and McKirdy suspended. In the circumstances would take a point

W 10 D 3 L 4 F 30 A 22

We are now equal 5th in the all time league away wins in a season with 10 wins and still another 6 games left to play.
If you add cup games we have won 13 games on the road this season in total.

The current highest totals are.

10 away league wins in 2021-22 - 13 in total. (current).
10 away league wins in 2011-12 - 14 in total.
11 away league wins in 1986-87 - 15 in total.
11 away league wins in 2014-15 - 14 in total.
12 away league wins in 1985-86 - 13 in total.
12 away league wins in 1995-96 - 12 in total.

We are very close to the club record away wins now and with 6 games left to play its quite achievable.

If that tackle had been made by an outfield player I would have expected a red card.

Have you watched it back yet?
