Bottom half. The home record is now unredeemable. Away form starting to wobble. A manager who sees results as an irratation. We stay up and that was the hope in August.
Job done.

I am sure Reg would have the stats to hand, finishing outside the top 7 in this division would be one of our worst seasons ever I think.  Sad that I think we will likely finish 8th or 9th, and that would be OK given the context.

This is our worst, apparently:

Lowest League position

Remember it well. The most games I ever watched in a season, 34. Often on Friday nights in the driving northern rain.

Shame mid-table isn't an option. Because that's where I think we will be.

There are a lot of 'not so good' teams out there. When we play well we can beat anyone, but the thing we have to learn is how to play poorly and win - or not lose. I think we will improve in that regard.

I’d say between 10th & 15th.

Just glad that we have just about enough points to stay up already, because I struggle to see where many more are coming from.

Hopefully we can beat Scunthorpe on Saturday

I'm an optimist.

Was considering "play off loser" and have now modified this to "top half".

Injuries could play a part.  However, with Reed and Payne to return (helping to keep Williams fresh) alongside some decent new January defenders, there really is no barrier on the playing side to making the playoffs.  Jury is out on Davison for now but I recall Simpson having had to endure criticism early doors.

If any of the squad or management believe making up 4 points at this stage of the season is unlikely then that would be a very serious problem.

Clem will certainly be giving Garner the opportunity to right this wobble, so we shall see for ourselves what Garner has learned from his past experiences as manager.
