Thank you BO!  Wink

From what I remember, you are the first to mention McKirdy missing Steffen's gift. I so wished he'd scored there, especially as Steffen was being a bit cocky by not doing his gloves up!

Steffan is apparently* the 4th American keeper to play in the PL, but is unique from all the others.

* I say apparently as I must confess I have not checked the validity of this 'fact' I heard.

Friedel, Keller, Howard are the three obvious ones but pretty sure there are more - Marcus Hahnemann with Reading, Boaz Myhill (who was a bit Welsh but also American) with Hull, Brad Guzan at Villa. Probably more!

Is it as simple as Zak Steffen having hair?

I'll be in the minority but I thought the comms for this FA Cup match was absolutely shocking. Considering they are meant to be elite level commentators being paid quite handsome contracts.

Sam Matterface is never a lead commentator and I still feel a bit sad that Clive Tyldesley was demoted from his position as lead comms - Matterface might be a lead common potato but that's about it. As lead his ineptness rubbed off on Ally McCoist, who was ok but I thought his "historical knowledge" came across as inauthentic and ingenuous and as if a researcher had wiki'd a few titbits of info to him either just before the match or even at HT. Really poor show in that respect.

The credit I'll give though is McCoist seemed genuine about Sir Don. Wasn't too fussed about him being accurate on Town messing about at the back. Ashley Cole was right, it is Town's current football philosophy and regardless how Town played against Manchester City, they would've lost. What did they expect against essentially one of the best, if not currently the best domestic club in the world?!

I'm glad Town DIDN'T play like a standard League Two/Div 4 "clogger" which is what both Matterface and McCoist continually expected to see.

Of course, few appearances player-manager.

Haven't watched it since I was a kid either to be fair.
