On the plus side for England in the future, Palmer looks a talent.

KKH the only real bright spot in that half, although McKirdy is trying his level best

Agree, give Cowmeadow and Parsons 20 minutes they'll remember for the rest of their lives rather than risking Williams.

Man City had 77% possession which there is nothing we can do about as they're so good. We could help ourselves by kicking the ball long from goal kicks otherwise they will just pick us off with ease.

Indeed, let them have a run out they will remember.

Bringing Anthony Grant on would be a disaster, he hasn't played a competetive game for about 3 months. and I am a massive AG fan.

Williams for Gladwin is the only move that makes sense, or if not fit East

I see the keeper has been taking training from Nicky Hammond when it comes to handling back passes and kicking in general.

Think he has been the best player on the pitch, surprisingly given the talent

I think we only committed a single foul in that half - we can't even get close to them.  It's a pleasant enough watch, but they are just running a training session against us.  You can read much into it and I'm not going to pick out individuals, but we are a goal walking on our left side if they fancy taking us more often.  The fannying about at goal kicks was asking for trouble, and we got some.

KKH has had a good game (OK, singling out good performances) and Simpson has done alright.

Overall, I guess it could have been a lot worse, but they can't have had an easier game against lower league opposition in terms of being given time and space.

Sort of feel a bit sorry for our players.
Would you expect us to get that "close to them"?

Palmer's movement is astonishing for youngster and it is combined with no lack of pace and great control.  He may even be a better prospect than Foden was.

No, hence not knocking anyone.

This game is showing the issues with professional football in general.
To much money.
To a lesser situation Speedway faced a similar problem before riders and teams were controlled...

I would give Parsons a run out definitely, but probably for McKirdy
