It was on Sky though not terrestrial TV, which normally for the FA cup pays more than Sky do for league cup ties.

Absolutely, thats a nice little earner if we do get on TV.

In the L2 3rd round it was about £35k IIRC back then.

Now approved,

One thing I has missed which was picked up in that thread is that the draw will see Palace away to Millwall and Leeds bringing 10,000 odd down to West Ham in the same weekend, busy times for Inspector Knacker!

Can someone translate their slang for me? Man United "Rags" and Liverpool (I assume) "Dippers"? Pocket dippers? Are these City-specific or widely-known terms I've been sheltered from?

In the North, Liverpool are known as the "Bin Dippers".

The Rags are Man Utd.

You live and learn. Surprised I never heard it when I was at Uni up there. Though tbf, I wasn't surrounded by City fans.

Absolutely, my dad living in Runcorn always called Liverpool fans the bin dippers but didnt use the rags term for united that I can remember.

Another term used often is calling Wigan the Pie Eaters, something which dates back to the 1926 general strike.

Donkey Lashers for Blackpool, Crewe are the chip eaters, Warrington the Woolybacks, Runconr are the Jowie heads....an old nickname for a turnip, Heywood is monkey town, Oldham (much of Lancashire) is Yonners, Nantwich is Dabbers, Wrexham is the Gogs, Widnes is Chemics and Workington the jam eaters.

Thats the ones I remember him telling me about anyway, not sure the origins of a few of them though!

Anyone know where you can check your points? Can't see it anywhere on the portal.

Been getting most of my tickets through a mate this season. Only ones I can remember buying myself were Stevenage away. Do you even get points for away games?
