Anyone else on here see the chaos in the train station after? Was very odd. Waited for ages for a train while sets of fans threw stuff at each other across the platform. I got hit in the face with a coin  Roll Eyes

Yeah, special cunt-of-the-day mention to the Town 'fan' who decided to throw a lit flare over the tracks towards a group of Walsall fans, including some little kids.
Thankfully it hit the power lines and fell onto the tracks.

Well I'm back,  in cirencester for the night

once the game settled we started far the brighter and after Simpson scored I thought we'd push on. But that slowly came undone. Like Harrogate they denied us space and we didn't know what to do. An equaliser duly came but this was our own fault, an out of sorts Williams misplaced a pass, they broke down or last, nice cross in and a simple header for their real centre forward. not much defensive pressure from us though.

second half Walsall started brightly and always seemed to have a man over on the wide areas

but we grew into and started to take over a bit. A deep cross looked to have been overhit, but it was kept alive and KKH cooly slotted home.

after that we started to struggle again and we can't under a fair bit of pressure with Walacott saving our bacon among others . At times we looked very stretched and vulnerable.

but a win is a win. bring on man United away (or bloody Hartlepool)

he's a star man,
flying  down the right,
his name is kessler Hayden,
and he's fucking dynamite...

That is a fantastic song - was that sung today or have you just penned it ?

Anyone seen highlights posted anywhere? BBC have about half the games on their website. So glad they got two full minutes of 0-0 between Ipswich and Barrow.

A good win.

No idea what the 3rd round of the FA Cup looks like. It's...been a while!

We give the ball away originally and the defending could have definitely been better but I think their winger has done well to keep the ball, find the man inside, stay in space to get the ball back and deliver a decent cross in.

Iandolo has done well for our winner. Watching the highlights even I was expecting it to go out for a goal kick!!!

It was sung at Crewe also. I think (but could be wrong) I've heard Liverpool fans sing it before also but for the life of me can't work out who it would be about. Edit - Leicester and Youri Tielemans FWIW.

Works perfectly for KKH.

Venkman - good luck trying to piece together some Walsall views on the match from their forum. 100+ posts after the match of which the majority are a deep dive into their last few years of mediocrity - an utterly depressing, and at times familiar read. Good club Walsall and I’ve always found their fans a friendly bunch so I hope they have some excitement soon!

Cracking result, the match has been well covered above but I’d just add that I thought our rear guard action at the end was brilliant with special mention to Crichlow when he came on who threw himself at everything. Match winning save from JoJo - Foderingham-esque.

Jesus! How Walsall didn't equalise from that last 'highlight' is a mystery!

Also, love the way Wilkinson puts his hands to his ears when Walsall equalise - Someone should have reminded him he was playing at home!
