We only have steam trains on Saturdays and I am buggered if I am going to be in the office then, we tend to go down to the level crossing for those! |

Fond memories of Barrow. I worked for Manpower in the mid-seventies and my first assignment was two weeks at British Cellophane in Barrow, in a group of c10 from Swindon and Gloucester. I think we worked 8 til 8, but still managed to go out every night to various Working Men's clubs etc, including one night in Barrow FC Supporters Club. Very friendly locals. Happy days...

I called up just now as well, as junior tickets were not being offered online. There were just 4 seats left when I called, and about 200 terrace tickets. So 450+ sold so far.

A turnout approaching 500 for a place that is not the easiest to get to and in December would be excellent. Wouldn't be surprised to see near sell outs for Walsall & Orient as well. Barrow ticket arrived in the post yesterday. Had selected pick up from club.  |
