Tbh, I still can’t work out if we’ve just been lucky with the chances missed by our opponents or unlucky that we haven’t hammered most of them.
I would like a nice, steady 2-0.

Yeah we are creating loads of chances and TBF hitting the target with a fair few so far. As you know I like a got stat even if you can often not read much into them. If you add it all up (in all 8 1st team games played, thats 6 league, 1LC and 1 JPT), so far we have amassed 108 shots (13.5 per game) 40 on target (5 per game) 9 goals scored (1.1 per game) an average of 60% possession per game. Opposition sides against us have had 90 shots (11 per game) 26 on target (3 per game) 5 goals conceded (0.6 per game) an average of 40% possession per game

By comparison Port Vale so far have had
93 shots (11.5 per game) 26 on target (3 per game) 8 goals (1 per game) an average of 42% possession per game.
Opposition sides against them have had
75 shots (9 per game) 27 on target (3 per game) 10 goals conceded (1.2 per game) an average of 60% possession per game

A few thoughts from Vale fans about today.
I especially like this comment. These are a side with financial problems, lost their best players and scraped the barrel for signings. They’ve started well but will probably fade. We should be going there looking to win and they will be more worried of us, then we will of them imo.

thank you unfortuntely games are not settled by stats or we would win at a canter having way more shots and on targets than them so far almost double on target by comparison. I do like stats but they rarely get bore out in games.

To what do we owe the resurfacing of this 8-year-old event? I know it was the greatest moment of your life but is it an anniversary or something?
There'd been a few old Vale games put up, so I thought I'd add this one as it was against Vale. Nothing more.

Yowzer! That’s some good looking team. I’d always have Odimayo in my team, though.
Where’s McKirdy?

I don't think that so far Odimay has been at the same level that he was at last season so fa,r his distribution at times has been woeful.
Thats a very attacking line up though.
