I am pleased to say that I have acquired some tickets. Will be sat in the DRS for the first time in about 6 years.

I’m still waiting on an essay on the local cultural dynamics of the area as espoused a number of weeks ago. Clearly taking a lot of time on the research and bodes well for a riveting read.

I might take a more direct route on Saturday. There will be plenty of opportunity to catch up the great and the good as the season progresses.

Oh joy. I can hardly contain myself. Where do you suggest we meet to go through this tome of cultural delights?

I expected a bit more enthusiasm. Perhaps I can do a PowerPoint presentation at the TEF Christmas soiree instead.

Been struggling to put a lid on it and didn’t want to put you under to much pressure, after all you did say you’d enlighten us to the cultural dynamics of the bus station and Manchester Road areas after all. Flip chart, power point or book, not bothered but if you’re wimping out because you’ve nothing to show till Christmas then it’s a piss poor show from you TBH.

In all games vs Mansfield we have only lost 10 times in 47 games with Town winning 22 of them.

At the CG we have won 17 of the 24 games playes scoring 50 and conceding just 21 times with Mansfield winning just 3 times.

The Stags last win at Swindon came in 1977 which is a run of 12 games unbeaten for Swindon with Swindon winning 10 of those 12 games, the last being a 1-0 win when Doyle scored the winner. We have scored 6 goals in a game twice, 5 goals once and a 4 goal win over the years, Mansfields biggest win being a 2-0 in 1976.

They don't normally bring many away fans their last 4 visits they brought just 131, 215, 320 and 410.

This season in all games results they have W(2-1 B Rovers H) L(0-3 Preston H) W(2-1 Newport H) D(1-1 Colchester A) L (2-3 Bradford H) so they have had 4 home games and just 1 away so far (3 league home games).

Ex Town striker target Ollie Hawkins has scored 3 goals so far with 2 other players getting a single goal each.

Swindon to suffer a single goal defeat in front of 8,145 fans with 375 Mansfailed fans there.
