it’s a pink polar bear living in a pink tank.

is this a common phrase I've missed, or a strange metaphor? I'm not really clear what it's supposed to mean. Is it a Chappell Roan thing?

You've been away too long. 'Tis a common phrase round these parts, part of the fabric of everyday life. Give it to him straight, FDB, like a pear cider made from 100% pears.

Babycham?

Never heard of expressions like that either, but get the gist.

National Geographic fact rather than a metaphor or anything to do with Chappell Roan - Polar bears fur are hollow fibres which makes them appear white.  Jawdrop

Patience… From my experience, “and then what” will be revealed in due course.

That great but honestly I’m not sure how much ‘due course’ this football club has left?
Now really doesn’t seem like the time for patience.

Trust should be looking for investment parties who want to buy the club. Trust should then do their due diligence & before going public with these people - assuming they exist.

Only thing that will speed up Clem selling is another, better, richer, more knowledgeable grounded owner literally right there publicly saying he wants to the buy the club.

If the Trust was involved in all of that, would you honestly expect a running commentary or for them to be backing anyone after the previous board backed Clem though?

Who knows what is going on behind the scenes really but it wouldn’t surprise me if Clem was offered £20million and still said no.

You know what? would I expect running commentary. No. Do I think the fanbase should get running commentary. Absolutely yes. I would expect them to back a new owner (once they’d done their due diligence) as well.

How else are you (the Trust) or we (the fanbase) going to force Clem out?
We need an alternative & it needs to be public so we can all unite behind it/them.

Doing things hush hush behind closed doors & very on the fence will force / solve nothing.

Again, there have been rumours about interested parties & the usual smug ‘I know something you don’t know’ bollocks on social media but guess what? As your average fan I have neither seen or heard anything from / about any prospective new owner. Therefore I can only deduce they don’t exist. Am I wrong? Might be but I can’t get behind something I can’t see & have no proof of what so ever.

Plus, a lot of the Clem supporters argument is ‘what’s the alternative?’ & they’re absolutely right (although completely misguided) because there is no alternative.

Just to clarify, I am not the Trust, I no longer sit on the board. Haven’t done for a while now.

As for the running commentary, it would be naive and short sighted to think it would benefit anyone in the long run. Yes, fans want to know but that’s not how things get done. Name one organisation or business that successfully gives a running commentary on things that are happening in the world it lives in, things that are not written down, hear-say from reliable sources, etc?

Truth is DV, all the protests and banging fists on the table won’t force Clem out the door. To my point, I don’t think 20million would force the guy out if he didn’t want to sell. That’s the sad reality of things. Personally, I would encourage you stand for the Trust board at the next election. That’s not a do better if you think you can attitude, but it will be an interesting insight to what really happens and why it is the way it is. I can sit here and try to explain what it’s like but it’s nothing in comparison to living it and seeing it all for yourself. It’s a tough and thankless job being sat on the board, you’ll only understand once you’re on the other side of that experience.

There are no reliable form of accounting books that you speak of. It’s all on random spreadsheets and bits of paper and yet Clem wonders where all the money goes. I’ve said before and I’ll say it again, it’s careless of any business owner not to know down to the penny what gets spent, for what benefit and to who but you’ve got a bookkeeper pretending to be an accountant and a plumber pretending to be a CEO.

Disappointing reality didn't match the stories coming out at the start - along the lines of 'if you bought a biro from Tesco, Clem wanted the receipt' (paraphrased).

I guess though that it fits with still losing 1M a year. Alegedly

More like £2mil a year but that jump is really from a downturn in revenue that careless business practices.

Putting the Trust money towards a new safety gate for ambulances to get into the ground, to be announced just before kick off tomorrow?

The club should be sorting this and if they can't should be selling up to someone who can run a functioning professional club.
