It’s took me over 20 minutes queuing to get in the DRS for the last 2 home games, you can see there are hardly any turnstyles open.  If I could have got in earlier I probably would have bought some food or at least a drink.  Although that will probably upset them further pesky customers buying all our food and drink stock

Just as a matter of interest, what time do you get there?

Just interested to avoid that time Smiley

I'm usually around the DR around 245 as I was Sat - and I can assure you that there was no more turnstiles opened just the 2 that have been open for the last few weeks, it is ridiculous.

Those pesky fans turning up the watch the game - do we not realize we should not be there

When I went in there was nobody around telling me to be careful, I could see tape but had clearly been taken away, why wasn't there stewards stationed there to stop fans going any further than half way ?
I only knew as I read on social media about fans saying what was going on.

That's right they have cut down the number of stewards they are employing on match day so they do not have enough to put extra in the stands...whoever is in charge of H & S at stfc clearly doesn't know what is a safety issue, and just because nobody slipped over a broke their leg doesn't mean it was not dangerous.

Imagine the compo claim if anyone had got injured

the Club clearly failed on this one and should be held to account for that.  It’s not good enough for people to simply say “stop moaning”.

That is this types mantra though. Its their response to fucking everything.

We got to the turnstiles about 14:20/14:25 & there was no queue, however the scanners for your tickets are very hit & miss and certainly don’t help with the queues.

We got in had a pasty & a drink before trying to go to our seats, but there were stewards at the doors to the stand (which were closed). I started to go in and got about 4 steps up the stairs before the steward told me I couldn’t go in, as it was icy & they were currently gritting

When we got to our seats (which are about 10 seats in front of the ones that were taped off), they were covered in ice so we had to wipe them off ourselves, and the floor around had been gritted but was still very slippery.

The steward that was at the door was now on the steps telling people they couldn’t sit in the taped off seats & should find somewhere else (which is bloody useless as you just end up sitting in another persons ST seat.

All in all a bit of a shambles, but I guess that’s what we all expect now

What would people turn up early to the DRS when the tannoy doesn’t work so can’t even enjoy the pre match ‘entertainment’ I try and time it to arrive at 2:45.

Lots of negative feedback from the Birmingham fans after last night, not surprisingly.

Apparently the cost of extra staff, stewarding and extra police would have negated any extra income from the game, also Brum took 40% of the gate receipts.

I understand why we didnt give them the extra stand TBH. No point allowing more of their fans in and possibly actually losing money.

I wonder if hearing it from other fans sparks some of our intellectually challenged fans to realise it isn't just people moaning or if they're completely beyond hope.

I'm inclined to agree. But having made the decision, you have to then show the aptitude to properly manage the 1,200 or so etc. On another night, with less well behaved fans you've got real issues on your hands.

Absolutely, if we had won the game then it could have turned sour quickly too. We just cant organise a piss up in Arkells brewery.
