' I could be wrong, but I thought it was a leased property?
Might be leased, but the lender obviously considered that the value of the interest was more than enough to cover whatever ASI borrowed against it, all pretty irrelevant without knowing what was actually borrowed, suspect that the UGM fee was possibly used to clear it.

I got an email from James Watts this morning as a former subscriber to the STFC Lotto asking for me to subscribe again, apologising for last year and making the point of the great commercial agreement with Adidas and Pro Direct and the hiring of new manager and very good signings.
The email is urging me to resubscribe to help fund the day to day running of the club and playing budget. I know it's just a template email, but it seems a weird vehicle to use to drive fundraising for the club, surely there are better opportunities to drive revenue out there.

You'd think they'd go down the promotional 'we had x many winners last year! Don't miss out on the fun...' etc rather than the guilt trip. You don't see Bet 365 doing that.

If we are relying on the lotto to fund the signings we just made we really are in up to the neck (I don't mean just the lotto, more reliance on the fans).

Its just indicative of how small time James Watts and or Antony Hall is and why they really need some better people in the club. Nothing sinister, just incompetence.

No idea how many chip into the club lotto. 60k a year if a 1000 put in a fiver a month, less prize money.
So yeah, on that basis, might be worth more to concentrate on corporate sponsorship renewals & weddings, wakes and conferences etc in the down time over the summer months.
Has the LL been open for England games?

I thought from reading something somewhere about 100 were signed up for the lottery. That was a while ago so could have gone up a bit.
