Five senior backroom leavers in less than a year looks pretty grim, doesn't it?

Sotiris Caldelis is currently holding the fort pretty much alone.

Baillie is a top chap. Super loss. One day when we have a proper owner we can hopefully see faces of old return and work under a more professional outfit.

Yep, totally agree. A top guy. Also, he did a lot of stuff that Holloway just wouldn't get involved with. Lots of logistics and organisation etc.

If we're doing memes now.

But like, we can't do anything about the guy leaving for a better job. But why on earth would we not ask him to work his notice during the transfer window?

The thing is with Holloway this season will either go well or be a complete clusterfuck, I don’t think he does anything in between. If it goes well all will be fine and he’ll lean on his experience and contacts. If it goes badly we all know he’s a pretty volatile character and it could get very toxic very quickly.

If the worst was to happen the lack of any football people beyond Holloway anywhere at the club currently is beyond scary.

I think the squad largely staying together somewhat derisks it.

I cited Wilson as an example of back to back good:bad season, but he did have mote churn than I initially remember.

Not saying we are good enough to go up yet. But the (summer) window isn't done.

We need some flair. Something that can unlock defences or turn a game. All we have at the moment is based upon endeavour.

Totally agree. Our attack is not quite there.
Drinan is a grafter but has had a serious injury.
Glatzel spent the first 3/4 sesaon well below par.

We surely can't and won't leave it there.

Usually at this stage of the season we have made zero new signings.

I would suggest that we will have several more new signings coming in from 1st July loans and perm signings.

And yes 1 or 2 flair players would be an absolute necessity.

Whilst I do agree I would say as an attacking threat we are almost entirely reliant on Smith. If anything happens to him be it injury or sold then I’m not sure where we’d be at.
