Anything come out of the Meet the Manager thing tonight?
Nothing new of note in all honesty. I asked about the injuries to Delaney and McGurk. Delaney taking a little longer to get fit than first thought and still a while away yet, no time frame, McGurk has a problem with his hip and has been doing light training. Kennedy and Bignot both spoke very well, I was quite impressed with them, their message and positivity. They were asked about new signings, they gave nothing away as you'd expect, but they're all working on it. Kennedy explained the difficulty in agreeing deals with players, as a player might want to come, agree terms, but the agent isn't happy, and vice versa. There are situations where the player and agent are happy and agree terms, then another club comes in at the 9th hour and scuppers the deal. Kennedy said he wasn't aware the pitch had been narrowed and referred to the groundsman (Povey?) who confirmed it had been narrowed due to the drainage areas or something. |

The problem is with the owner and asking price plus hangers on- this ownership is holding this club back

I really think I missed something on the fanzone, what I saw was some gravel and a hedge with a lesser spotted Don sculpture trying to be found. Was there more than that? That is less a fanzone, and more a space where fans can stand without getting wet ankles. The wet ankle zone is just outside the shop on the edge of the car park, from memory.

The only thing blocking a sale is the owner's apparent ridiculous valuation of the club. There's enough proof of other teams being taken over that the interest in English football clubs is booming. We need complete seperation from the little gang of miscreants that've been attached to this club for the last decade, they are bleeding the club dry and we won't survive much more.
