Not the best headers but here are 2 headed Town goals for the price of one!

AFAIR it was a near post header from a right-wing corner. Doesn't really help much, I know...

Concur.

There were 38,000 people at Highbury for this League Cup match, including 7,000 from Swindon. Arsenal took the lead with a disputed penalty in the eighth minute, converted by Alan Sunderland following a foul on Frank Stapleton. Swindon, however, didn’t buckle, and with six minutes left to play substitute Billy Tucker, a defender who’d only been on the pitch for ten minutes, headed in an Alan Mayes corner to force a replay in Wiltshire. Another replay, with the team still in the European Cup Winners Cup, the FA Cup still to come, and a 42 match league season to complete.

Changing the subject a bit....

While having a deep search for the Tucker goal anywhere I found this interesting piece on Swindon by a Forest fan, goes into a lot of detail and is an interesting read.

Great read JJ and I'll still stick with the late 70's was my most enjoyable time watching this proud club to date.

That Sheff Utd play off game is still the spawniest win, possibly by any team ever.

That makes up for us getting robbed away at Wolves in the cup semi in 1980😀

Billy Tuckers equaliser away at Arsenal in 79

Gets my vote every time.
What a night that was. Can still see Ian Miller standing next to us ready to take the corner, I saw Billy Tucker in the air, meet the ball and it was like a bullet.
I didn’t see anything after that. The Clock End that night moved. Health & Safety out the window Smiley
It was simply mental celebrations and probably the wildest following a goal. How nobody www crushed as a pile of bodies everywhere.

I was 16 and skipped school in the afternoon to queue up outside the Town end😀
I've never managed to locate any footage of the away goal

I got the slipper at school the next day as we bunked the last lesson and jumped over the fence into the cemetery. Caught the early train and the queues were massive even at around 6pm.

Madge Mitchell scoring the second in this.

I was Town mascot for that game. Great goal scored against future England number 1, David James.
