Do LFT's have an expiry on them out of interest? We have a couple of boxes that I'm hoping to keep in 'reserve' for going abroad this year and it just occurred to me they might go out of date.

The freebie ones from the govt won't suffice for us as we need a certificated negative to get into the Netherlands, albeit that seem to relate to testing myself at home with their test costing 14.99, sending a photo of the negative test to boots and them emailing me a certificate.

…and the test will probably be exactly the same as the govt one

I wouldn't doubt it. Interestingly the CEO of Boots was at Eton and then Oxford with the PM.

The good thing about LFT (fit to fly) is that its available from quite a few places and is fairly instant.

So worse case you can get one done last(ish) minute if Boots doesn't come, even at some airports (e.g.).

fair point, but if you are going from (e.g.) Newcastle then I'm sure you can find a chemists

but I am also sure the boots kit will be absolutely fine

Thanks DV. Ours are only downstairs and I could have checked myself but sometimes the lazy option of asking people on the TEF is strangely more satisfying.

Deal with 1000s of the test kits at work every night…
Definitely a question I’ve been asked before and looked on the box.

We'll see, sure we will have a emergency fall back in place if needed. One of the party is a pharmacist in the NHS so he will have a plan!

Worth using as a base for a few days to get around the north of scotland. Small and quiet is good.

Yes it is a decent enough base, not too many hotels but a few, nice area but be aware, everywhere is hours and hours drive in every direction (bar Inverness!).
