Sheridan: - Wont hide the fact it was a poor result - Poor in the first half apart from neat passing for the goal - Came in 1-0 up and up against the conditions - Straight from kick off we didnt defend - Taking a good look at myself tonight - Sheridan says he's picked the wrong team. Should have picked Payne - Poor, poor day - Not going to pretend things are alright - Have a decision to make - The club needs to stay in the decision - The game was a case of repeating himself agaian. We make ourselves vulnerable. - Second goal a calamity again - Thirda goal a mistake too - Should never have to make 5 subs to get a spark - Sheridan not on the pitch kicking a ball. But he'll take the blame - When I was on the pitch I blamed myself not the manager, the coach, the training or the club - Players not looking at themselves? If I said that then I'd be blamed for it - I left Payne out who was one of my best players after Tuesday - I picked the wrong team. So I'll look at myself. Then make a decision on what I'm going to do - 5 subs? Not something I want to do. But we just werent dealing with throw ins, corners, freekicks. Had to make the substitutions - Cant give cheap goals away against teams like Gills who thow the ball in the box - Mental collapse? No, its what we have done all season. Not getting tight, organising eachother - We go through it in detail in training. But, when they go on the pitch it is in the hand of the players - I dont blame the players. Im the manager and I pick the team. When we lose its the managers fault. When we win the players perform well - Supporters want us to stay up but we are making ourselves vulnerable - Sheridan says he cant do any more - Very disappointed with the game - Its so early after the game. We have fall outs. But we are both upset - Sheridan needs to talk to other people - Dressing room? Always had a very quiet one. That's it. Always quiet. I tell them who should have done better at set plays. They dont point it out to eachother - How do you get players to perform after that? We play better once we go behind - I'll look at my own position and make a decision
