A Grant is plainly a very good div 4 player and served the club well last year. Not knowing much about his career, I seem to recall that it has been suggested on this forum that he has had issues with managers at other clubs.  If that is correct, why have a pop at JS if similar issues have arisen (those ITK may be able to clarify what is actually going on).

Real STFC 1-1 Fake STFC

Concerned he may pick Curran ahead of Odimayo which IMO would be a mistake.

I think he will probably go with

                  Travers
Hunt   Odimayo  Masterson   Thompson
Payne    Palmer    Lyden      Hope
             Tyler      Pitman

Might be worth trying Twine alongside/just behind Pitman in the 10 role as he played at Newport but I don't think we will.

I would also rather see Grant given game time ahead of Palmer who has been disappointing for me in the last 2 games, but I don't think Grant will start.

I reckon the team will be largely the same as last game. El Shezza is a fan of not changing a team after a victory but obviously has an enforced change... maybe two.

There could be surprise inclusions in the matchday squad for both Caddy and Grant.

Mississippi on the bench.

Was about to say that he has pretty much changed things every game, then realised you said he doesn't like changing it after a win.

I thought that it was said at the press conference that Garrick and the fella signed from Northampton reserves would be involved

BBC staff at the ground?

For home games yes they are allowed in the press box and allowed to do covid secure post match "pitch side" pressers. Away games they can't travel.

You really should take half an hour to listen to the most recent Monday Night Panel. All that was dismissed by some is covered by Mr Hawes (along with other guests), regarding current BBC Local commentary and press restrictions. Can't speak for independent or national media outlets.

With a heavy ground frost this morning is there any chance the game will not go ahead after the awful surface we had to play on back on Tuesday night? I take it that Swindon is under icy/frosty conditions too this morning?

The Swindon way is to get a much needed win the hard way and then follow it up with disappointment.
Although it's only a very short drop to be brought back down to the earth.
Then again most Town fans probably didn't make it as far as the launch pad in the first place.

The taming of The Shrews is still possible and their new manager bounce has gone on for far too long.

I'd be tempted to put Jordon Garrick straight in. "Pace and skill", let's hope so.
Payne & Hope worked hard on Tuesday. Hope in particular, not everything works consistently, but he's a trier.
Not sure what type of midfielder Christopher Missilou is but he has played alongside Lyden before at Oldham.
Thought he was a youngster so surprised to find that he is 28.

Hopefully this matchday thread won't descend very quickly into a den of disillusioned, disapproving disgruntlement.
Not until the first 5 minutes are up anyway. Smiley

Similar down here mate, if the temps don't rise much (4 degrees exected later) then the game must be in danger of not taking place.

Like a Spring day here.
I’m sure the ploughed field will be playable.
