Nixon is reporting Salford, that’s the only thing I’ve seen.

Nixon seems to have reasonable norvern sources less so down south.... I hope Hunt lands at Reading just to piss the smug dour twat off!

Salford has seen a vast amount of regeneration hasn't it?

I've not been to Manchester since we played City in the FA Cup, where Maine Road was, was pretty rough and ready. Getting lost there didn't help! But I was young and naieve and so wasn't afraid, per se.

It has and it continues to do so, what is happening is that Manchester City centre is actually expanding northwards over the Irwell into Salford, possibly due to its proximity to Spinningfields and also that Mancunian Way makes expansion southwards awkward

when I first visited the regeneration area about 10 years ago when I started on the project it was all a bit no go, its now high value offices/apartments etc!

I was there a year or so ago, it’s very fancy indeed.

Several city/United players have penthouse apartments in the area I was told

Not always a good thing. I live in Battersea and the power station has been completely regenerated with horribly overpriced glass apartments etc. I'm sure it will look fabulous darling when its completed, but not for me Geoff.

Going off on a related tangent...

Steve Mildenhall signs as a player for Broadley FC which is way oop norf near Grimsby. Does that mean he's no longer our GK coach?

Given the performances of our goalkeepers this season it's probably for the best.
