we played 4-5-1 which sort of became 4-3-3 on the attack. Didn't work.
We may have had a lot of the ball early on, but we didn't look dangerous for 99% of the match.
Are England a rich mans Swindon (away)? Have you ever seen King and Swen in the same room? Why did the dinosaurs really die?

Least Mclaren shows passion!!
Hargreaves a waste of a sub...defensive midfielder for Lampard an attacking midfielder - he was better than hargreaves even tho he was knackered!

Well done to the Ulstermen.....it was good to see them singing the National Anthem with passion.
Something the England players failed to do.

theres a difference between passion and aggressive behaviour. passion means you play above you abilities, aggressive behaviour means your watching the next match in the stands with a suspenion.
rooney was lucky to stay on the pitch

Frankly I am disgusted with this. I could write pages and pages of Sven's mistakes in his tenure, but I won't because I'll only get even more angry.
Basically Sven has been on borrowed time since Euro 2004, the only reason we got as far as we did was that we had Rooney on fire - if you take out his peformances we are left with the France and Portugal debacles - two perfomances that sum up exactly why Sven does not have what it takes to manage England.
The last three performances only serve to highlight his weaknesses further, tonight is the last staw for me.
Sack the Sweed! Sven out!

I wish I could be bothered to go on about the game but I can't. So I will sum it up briefly:
Robinson, Beckham and W.Phillips looked quite good. The rest didn't. On a scale one to ten, I would give England.... S H I T

The 4-5-1 system should've worked fine, but we didn't play it for most of the match anyway. It's not so much the formation but the way we play it.
I think the main problem is the changes Sven makes when things aren't going well though, the players often seem unsure of their new roles and he makes some strange substitutions. I don't think Shaun Wright-Phillips should've been taken off. Instead of changing the game and spotting the right changes often things just seem to get worse.
Rooney is a legend, he has a bit of a temper but I can forgive him things like that 'cos he reacts the same way I would in that situation, that quick free kick he took was funny and he very nearly scored at the end.

SWP was terrible.....the plan was simple get him the ball and expose the Argyle donkey....much as a league 1 side might have tried.
Unfortunately he did nothing with it.....Joe Cole had 2 more dangerous balls into the box within a minute of coming on.
The England side has too many big egos.....they didn't want it sufficiently.

The 442 has shown that it works ok, so why does Sven decide to change it to an unproven formation? I've never really liked the idea of having a foreign manager from the start

As a jock i find this hilarious well done Northern Ireland and England have been exposed for the shit the shit they really are. Lets be serious. No they haven't. We still have one of the best qualification records around and some of the worlds finest players, they just haven't been fully moulded into the truly great team they should be.
