I agree with you Bennett but Hasan Piker is a notorious liar and shitlord. For those of you unaware, dude makes money off his stream claiming to be pro-palestine but gives none of it to actual agencies to help. Watches houthi propaganda and dances to it. Interviews literal terrorists on stream helping promote their cause, and frames it as him being a 'journalist' whilst asking not a single critical question. He's a poser, like the Piers Morgan of the left. In it for the monneeeyyyy. Almost as proof he actively supported Donald Trump during the election because it suited him at the time. Framed it as "Kamala=Israel" and that by voting for her you actively supported the murder of Palestinian babies. As opposed to trump, who, as we can see, has stopped the violence...

Him saying he was detained excessively is one of those things where I don't necessarily 100% disbelieve him (He's a non-white man and US border officials are notoriously racist), but he's probably exaggerating it for more engagement and more money. He probably got pulled aside for questioning but I think it was probably because he's arab-passing. Not because of his streaming.

I'm not sure I want to get into a para social defence of Hasan, but I don't agree with you (apart from your hashtag)

I see some court has vetoed Trump’s whole tariff ‘policy’. Judged he has overstepped his authority - only Congress can authorise.

The whole tariff thing uses powers that are given to the President for use in cases of emergency, bypassing congress. It's not that he can't levy tariffs at all outside of that, it just needs to go through congress in the same way it would need to go through parliament here.

Trump has chosen to interpret the trade deficit as an emergency, despite the US last having a trade surplus in 1975.

It's obvious bollocks, but I'm sure it plays well to his base.

Trump has pushed the boundaries of laws on a lot of stuff recently, especially on the immigration side.  I don't see that injunction standing once it gets to the Supreme Court though.  They likely suggest the Executive Branch has broad ability to interpret what constitutes an Emergency.  While Trump will spout utter rubbish, some of the Govt lawyers will likely be able to provide sufficient evidence of impact to National Security for example.  A few in the background may be borderline evil, but they are not stupid, like the front man.

The irony is that America might not be "great again" with Trump at the helm.

Then again I will profess some ignorance as to what that actually even means.

Unacceptable behaviour, not getting into a fight on the internet. Can you not at least call me a Zionist and leave it at that?! Wink

Back to the main topic, nice to see that the market turmoil turns out to be a storm in the teacup. I'm sure nobody (with vast amounts of wealth and forewarning this was going to be happening) has lost out in this whatsoever.
