I wonder how Steve Murrall is getting on these days, enjoying his time in the slammer

If Axis Football Investments Limited now holds 15 per cent of the shares in Swinton, I think that the company has what it claimed in the substantive proceedings.  I recall that there may have been mention of 15 per cent of the shares in both Swinton and Seebeck but that would have given ownership of more than 15 per cent of the club as a whole.

If Axis has what was claimed in the proceedings, all or part of its claim must have been compromised by way of a settlement agreement.

I seem to recall that the Standing claim was defended on the basis that, amongst other things, any agreement related to half of money proceeds from things like transfers rather than ownership of 50 per cent of the shares.

The 1.8M Matt Ritchie sell in and lack of 50/50 split was certainly mentioned

You mean the 1.8m that Power was meant to share and supposably pocketed the lot, doing over his primary benefactors a good one in the process. The boy can hustle I'll give him that but I genuinely think he's started to come up against bigger fish. He's no longer battling with chancers like Jed&Co. Time to maybe roll over and accept his long drawn out and eventual defeat.

Regardless of what the future holds, I will have a fondness of sorts for Power. He stopped us from being owned by the aforementioned fuckwits and I do believe, even though he is a bit of a dodgy fella, there is something about Power that says whilst he would shaft individuals, he wouldn't shaft the club/fans.

Like a modern day Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves. I guess we'll see if that's true once cornered - self preservation and all that.

There seems to be a lot rumour on here and people in the know, which suggests something may be afoot. There isn’t usually this much smoke without some fire. It feels like we’re about to turn the page on the Power years but I’ve no idea if it’s going to be good or not. Why would someone take on any lower league club, and why ours? Always a question that gives some pretty frightening answers! Strap in. Let’s be lucky. Let’s not get a Jed.

It may be a little more than transfer funds.

That's probably right, I hadn't looked back at all the detail.

Court proceedings are a matter of public record and, generally speaking, you can request copies of the claim form, particulars of claim and defence etc.  If there has been a settlement, it may be possible to obtain a copy of the order recording this although if it is in the form of a 'tomlin order' the settlement is usually confidential.

It seems very much this. Been on the cards a while if we were to look back from the initial point he came on board. Always appeared to want more control but Power unwilling/too stubborn. Covid has forced Powers hand but like a lot of things, I think it has just accelerated the inevitable.

Power may retain some shares in the club but not the controlling figure. I could see A.N.Other joining the board not long after. Power will stay until he can either extract some kind of profit of break even. The training ground may be his own personal lynch pin.

You were just one more typo away from several questions of 'What's Michael gotta do with it?'
