Where are this lot really going to get £2m or £3m from?! That’s what it’ll will realistically cost just to do exec boxes. You’ve got the boxes themselves, front of house, access, kitchens etc to do it properly. It’s either going to be a complete bodge job or never finished.

Even if it gets done we will end up having to split our corporate hosts between the DRS and Arkell’s thus doubling up on staff which is bit stupid business wise in itself. It just shows the poor business acumen of this lot, they probably haven’t even thought about the operational logistics yet.

Will any legitimate contractors even deal with Morfuni in the UK with the history of the U.K. arm of Axis?

You can see it in this photo. The concrete terracing below the second story roof beam would be removed and box inserted in its place. Looks like at least half a dozen rows would be lost.

How would you then access the seats above? Would the stairs retain and go past? Like an individual box per block maybe.

Therein lies my fear. You lose access to the upper tier until new access is built. So obvious fear is that the upper tier gets closed for a prolonged period.

I’m on about the actual upper tier seats, the current access (and to the lower tier) is from the stairs that lead from the ground floor concourse. If you turn the middle into a building site/boxes there’s no access to the upper tier. I wouldn’t trust this lot to get arrangements in place that mean the upper tier isn’t closed for a period of time.

This is interesting how Bristol Rovers got a £750K grant from the Premier League towards their new stand.

There were conditions like owning the ground, being used for 21 years, submitting 3 years of accounts and a business plan. Hmm the last 2 might stop us.

if you take out 6 rows from the back of the whole stand (row Z to U) you would lose ~1100 seats .
at say 15 quid a game that's potentially 379k a year , although they are not all taken, probaly about half

The actual rows would be farther forward, but same conclusion on number of disappearing seats.

Fact it's there's probably 1100 seats empty in the drs if you squidge people up, even if it does feel busy when you are in it

I don’t think you get what I mean. To get to the upper selection of the DRS currently so roughly rows H to Z you have to walk through the area where the boxes will be, new access to these rows will be required as the boxes will cut off the existing access. I wouldn’t trust this lot to get that access put in place without it resulting in a closure of these rows for a period of time.

Or you modify the lower tier and put the boxes there, but that would look awful
