Sadly I have to report the passing of Dave Syrett. Dave had been battling Cancer for a while, he was just 60 years old. I was his neighbour when I lived in Warminster. Lovely bloke, with a lovely family. Banged in a few for the Town and was also a bit of a legend at Mansfield. RIP Dave... http://www.swindon-town-fc.co.uk/Person.asp?PersonID=SYRETTDAHere's Dave piddling on the Palace fireworks in the 70s.

That's very sad news. i remember seeing him break into the team and score some cracking goals. The arrival of Peter Eastoe pretty much ended his Swindon career.
RIP

Friendly face of a talented forward line, my personal highlight was a "Syrett turn" taking out two or three Sheff Wednesday players and a cool finish after a long, clear run on goal.
Great memories. RIP
