To mildly derail the thread, this has made me realise driving oop north tomorrow, and using the A419 might be a problem.

Anyone know what it'll be like getting to the M5 via the A419?

I have used the A419 a few times when the airshow has been on.  They cone off one lane of the dual carriageway for through traffic, so things generally keep moving.  It's usually the cars in the airshow lane that move slowly.

You shouldn't have any major delays and some of the back roads may be closed, so I wouldn't risk a detour.

It'll be fine, they usually split the lanes from around Blunsdon/Cricklade so that through traffic doesn't have to queue.

If it were me, I'd probably go Purton > Minety > Kemble and then pick up the A417 north of Cirencester.

My husbands watch came in very handy and we got to enjoy the Brietling owners club hospitality tent!

Brietling owners club.
Really.

Left many an imprint on Ernest Jones shop window in Regent Street when they used to have a nice display of Brietlings.

Not sure if they managed to shift many of them during austerity time.
Until the lottery numbers come up, it's the Casio owners club for me.
