Congratulations on getting the Town Fans to give on average 2.5p each to your bandwagon*

A sensible decision by Barnsley, and a mature decision by that twink from Bath. I personally will not support the motive behind the banner but it is a reasonable compromise. You'll go far.

Grow up.

Combe Down is a district of Bath.  Jay has his very own local nemesis.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one that thought that unnecessary. Not the first time I've seen him post it either.

I'm tempted to start a gofundme page that will keep Jaybox stocked up on beer and Grillstock.

Failing that, I'd happily buy him a pint at the next home Tuesday Night game (Oldham?) for all the stick he's taken fighting a cause he clearly cares about. Props.

Well, the banner has certainly stirred some emotions on FB and twitter hasn't it.

Not overly sure about it myself (football being the place for it), but some of the offence taken is well OTT. Some of the views have surprised me.

Hope the flack hasn't got you down too much Jay.

I think he's been a bit over sensitive about it. Did a new thread need to be created?!

As for the banner, meh can't say football and politics mix well but least he is true to his convictions

I think the right decision has been made.

I'm all for people helping others but politicising a fanbase doesn't sit right with me. I go to football as an escape from all this stuff as much as anything else and I'm sure it's the same for many others, this has just caused unnecessary tension.
Regardless of the subject matter or your motives you shouldn't use an occasion such as a football match to pedal an outside issue, it's a slippery slope to go down and you are never going to be representative of the entire fanbase. Leave people to enjoy the football, there are many other ways to get your point across.
