There's definitely some kind of typo on mine because on the price bit, the figure is fucking extortionate and  .... oh, bugger. I did actually pay that. Well, more fool me.

I console myself in the knowledge that the FA are ploughing this money into grass roots football, world class coaches and facilities in order to produce the next generation of world class England stars such as Memphis Depay  - so we can all have a national team to support and be proud of in the coming years.

Absolutely, sign them young from 3rd world countries. Who the fuck cares whether they all speak the same language? The main thing is that they'll be playing for ENGLAND!

Very poor sales techniques by Wembley, squeeze what they can from the club's fans then the remainder will be available to the general public on the day. I bet they get the bloody cheap seats just to fill the bloody ground.

Apparently not

So, on the basis that the ticket prices are extortionate, are we all happy to avoid the promotion and the inevitable ticket prices that follow?

I'd suspect Wembley hand over the operation to Ticketmaster entirely and have v little control over the tickets released. That said, Ticketmaster are likely to make a margin on every sale..so should be incentivised. Very surprised that the clubs haven't been more vocal in having the cheap tickets released. It's too late for people to change plans and arrange travel now.

Hit a brick wall then. 20,500 final figure it most certainly is.

Ticketmaster have made over £50k on booking fees/postage charges. The actual ticket cost probably goes back to the club.

If they were likely to put the average ticket price up to 50-odd quid, set the cheapest at 30 and 40 quid and restrict the sale of the few available cheaper seats, then yes I probably would. But I don't think that's very likely, so I'll be quite happy to achieve promotion. If following promotion the club follow Wembley/the FL in charging extortionate prices then I think we'll all quite rightly complain.

Take a look at the See Tickets website if you want £30 tickets, unfortunately not for the right end

20k from Swindon will be a pathetic turnout. I feel a bit guilty as I am one of the absent 10k and am not helping that situation. I wouldn't be cheeky enough to call myself a loyal fan anymore. If I was I'd be there.
Those last two dismal recent visits, the ko time and lack of trains have really made a dent in the numbers.
