....OK I know he's a bit of a tosser, but he was generally a decent player for us, during some difficult seasons.......I think it important that he at least gets some sort of welcome even if its polite....rather than a load of abuse.

Maybe some time away may have made him a little older and wiser and playing for a manager, who appreciates him might help his performance.

BTW when I say performance, I mean in a strictly footballing sense.

A normal 'new player' welcome with some of this:

He'll get polite applause from me til his first 75 yard effort on goal Soapy Tit Wank

Reg is right, thinking back he was a decent player for us at times. much better than when he left.

As long as he keeps his mouth shut, and doesn't insist on being in charge of all set pieces I'll give him a polite welcome - he has to realise that he is a new addition now though and not an established regular, in other words he has to behave himself while he's at the club.

Gurney was a gobby thug,
Though long ago he was no mug,
But sadly learned to play  "away",
And lost his brain for a very good lay.

I'l clap him, couldnt care if he did Hewletts bird doggy, lets be honest Jenkins is our best right back at the club and he's injured every other week so this is the best alternative option.
