I was always bemused by non-christians taking part in secret santa.
I once had to buy for a female jewish solicitor in her 50's. I got something relevant to her religion (some chocolate coins and made a home made spinning top).
If there is anything in the Buddhist calendar at this time of year go with that. Or just a load of incense.
