Here a first go at the pics

Is it something to do with smooth

Smoothie
Dance called the American Smooth
There is a smooth spring

Can't think of anything to do with the ice pick though

I was trying to make something out of:

[milk] shake
bill
dance
pick [axe]
coil (or spring)

Is there a smooth pick axe?

20. Jubilee, Central

Good work...20 is usually last.

19. Is a problem.  I've got strawberry milkshake, bill, jive, ice axe/pick, spring.  Nothing leaping off the page.

Got it  Smiley Hand.

Handshake, hand bill, hand jive, hand pick, hand spring.

19 is always a problem (but the most fun)!

Yes, I had just come around to 'jive' for the 3rd picture - but maybe 'coil' for the 5th picture.  Still not sure about 'bill' for the 2nd one - because it's more of a 'receipt'.

Really? Clearly handshake is obvious, but I've never heard of the other ones (hand pick maybe)

Yep - Reg is spot on.  A handbill is a paper notice (usually advertising something) that is handed out; the 'hand jive' is that dance-thing that girls used to do with their hands in the 1950s/1960s (seen in the movie "Grease" etc), 'hand spring' is what gymnasts do; and 'hand pick' is to pick someone/something by hand.

100% sure.

Hand bill, is a sort of leaflet for distributing.  hand jive was a sort of dance done in cinemas etc, when you had to sit down. Hand spring, a gymnastic move.

Still looks like we need 2,4, 9,16.

Think 16. is a flagon

But in two minds. Might be tankard, although that is usually glass, pewter or silver and not stoneware?

Thanks to you and Reg for clarifying that!! Smiley
