The best takeaway i have had was from a stall in Holland.
It was chunks of grilled fish with frites and mayo.
Think it is called Kimbling(spolling).

Kibbling. Gert lush. Not as nice as lekkerbek though which is battered cod with a spicy salt mixture shaken over it. I miss that on a Friday lunchtime  Sad

I've eaten giraffe. It was alright.

I'm a bit of a philistine when it comes to takeaways in that I generally only consider them when I'm hammered but I second the love for some of London's street food, can pick up some amazing stuff.

Plus you can't beat a good burger. The nearest Burger King to me is about half an hour away which I think should be illegal.

I've eaten snake, but the dish was so spicy that I couldn't really taste the meat.

Deep fried locust are good. The big ones can still be squishy inside though which can be unpleasant.

The Thai's also like frogs. Not frog's legs, the whole bloody thing. Small frogs , deep fried and crispy. Lick Lips

That's a fair point, I was thinking of beef burgers. Chicken beats everything IMO.

I didn't even know what a kudu was  Head Hurts

Had cod and chips from Trident Fish bar last night. Expensive, but excellent. All fish is battered and cooked to order in front of you so if you're in a rush, call up and order otherwise you'll be waiting for 15 mins.

Finally got round to trying the Trident.

The cod was good but what let it down was the chips. They looked OK but were quite dry almost like cardboard. The batter was OK but nothing special. Cost £6.50. A bit disappointed after reading such good reviews.

A long way short of York Road quality but I will give them another go on a different day of the week.
