When I was in Ireland the Tipperary paper had a headline

'Man Attacks Man With Candle'

Rochdale, managed by Steve Parkin, were visiting the County Ground that day.  And Steve was wary of the threat provided by Lee Peacock, who he had worked with at Mansfield earlier in his career.

referring to Crystal Palace striker Gerry Queen's Saturday afternoon activities (many, many years ago)

I have to say, SuperCali nicked or not, this is the second brilliant Sun Headline and there is no, er, organ that boasts quite such an irreverent and creative (ab)use of the English Language

There was one on sky sports a little while ago (can't seem to fin it now) about Jo Kuffour wanting to leave somewhere (Gills?) which read "Go on now Jo, walk out Kuffour"

A friend of a friend used to be a sub editor on the local rag in Norwich and when Newcastle sacked Kenny Dalglish ran the headline 'Oh my god they sacked Kenny'
