Fair play to the club, they sorted my issue out quickly and easily.  Well done.  Just a quick question, do I need to get a card, or not...happy to pick up tix at the CG for home games, and obviously need the tix for away games.

I've been printing mine off all season (2 games, account credited with 30 points), but have paid £1 to get the card just in case.

The card system is an excellent idea for non-ST holders, although am I being cynical in wondering what kind of chaos might ensue?

Apart from maybe an fa cup final or a championship play off final and then subsequent premiership season, I'm pretty sure everyone who wants a ticket for Swindon games will get one, even this one, especially as its on telly box.

Think the loyalty thing is a good idea, but not sure how beneficial it will really be for a loyal supporter v a johnny come lately for a big cup tie.

Not just home ties though
Will come into its own with an away tie ( bristol etc ) where capacities are a lot smaller or indeed a decent away FA cup tie against a larger club

Didn't sell out in the cup a few years ago. Ahh De Vita... what a night.  Beers

Don't you get more points for Home games than Away though? That's shite in my opinion.

I guess the thinking is we make more money for home games so its to try and get more bums on seats at the CG for some of the less attractive matches.

Was chatting to a mate at work today who is a chelsea ST holder
Their loyalty points awarded are 1,3 and 5
For league games 5 points would be for the likes of Hull and other less attractive games

3 pts for the likes of Palace,Fulham etc with the big games ( manure, liverpool etc ) being one point

Of course they have a limited ST list that is always oversubscribed - you can only get on it if someone leaves AND you have the right amount of loyalty points

Oh and as of this morning they still hadnt released ticket information for this game

Yeah, I guess so - Good point. I still think the 300 odd who go up to carlisle deserve more than the 6000? odd we'll have at home when we play them, though.

But as far as bums on seats, even if it encourages a handful of people it's still more money for the club. Happy days.

It's a good system for the likes of Oxford away which was complete and utter chaos. Hopefully also stops the stupid "I'm a better fan than you" bickering.

Still not sure how long the points are supposed to last.

Out of the 300 odd who go to Carlisle,  how many wouldn't do home games as well?

Some of the 300 who go to Carlisle are exiles living in the North of the country.  Then again, some people travel long distances to every home game. The system is probably as fair as you can get. There will always be hard luck stories, though.
