Poor example as I doubt you find any league 1 with match day tickets at £15. I'm guessing we are the most expensive in the league?
I wasn't using a specific example, £15/20 were just the numbers being floated about earlier. £5/10 is the kind of price drop that people would see as making a difference. Using the price of football survey from 2012 (
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-19842397), the cheapest matchday ticket in League 1 was £10 at Sheffield Utd. (Tranmere and Donny had £14.50 and £15 as their cheapest incidentally- so you can pay £15 to watch L1 Football, and good L1 football at that, seeing as how they were both top of the league for a while), and most expensive was £26 at Sheffield Utd., Colchester, and Bournemouth.
Our cheapest matchday ticket was £19 last season, our most expensive £25. We're on the expensive side of average for L1 if you look at the tables, but it's only a couple of quid really between us and the cheapest/most expensive teams.
There are tons of arguments about value for money that can be made, but the fact is we're not the most expensive team to watch.
