Meh. I can't be the only one who finds him fairly limited at this level.
Apparently so. Uwe Rosler's opinion is probably just slightly more respected in football circles than yours too.

Al Mac is a big player for us, would be gutted if he leaves.

It is certainly interesting, and I am looking forward to what they have to say next (if anything). As I have said before, the fact that they were spot on with Crouch gives me reason to believe that they are worth taking seriously.
In what way 'spot on' has Crouch involvement ever actually been identified or its scope confirmed?

Did Jed not confirm at the meeting with the supporters groups that both Crouch and Power were awaiting football league approval?

Yeah. I fully expect to be proven wrong with hindsight, but for large swathes of last season I was of the opinion Mcormack was only in the starting XI because he was captain. He'd be a loss, but in no way irreplaceable

I don't go too many games, but in the games I saw - he stood out as being garbage. Possibly he was playing in defence at the time so maybe I didn't get a fair picture.
That last ditch tackle in the play-off semis was fucking class though.

Paolo actually admitted to playing him perhaps out of position sometimes just to accommodate him. Not because he was captain but because he's one of our best players.

Great attitude but not the greatest player ability wise, he would be a good squad player to have though because of his versatility.

Experienced, versatile and a leader. Every team needs a player like him. He was also pretty decent back in CM toward the end of the season..

Macca was excellent last year, my player of the year. Outstanding.
This year he's been average at the back and average in midfield.
Cheaper, younger players out there who could do the same if not a better job.

I don't think there are many players out there that can do a better job. For years we made do with Pook type players, we have been spoiled by Ferry, McCormack and (when on form) Douglas.
That said last year he was not at his best. Seemed to improve towards the end of the season.
I'd keep but not break the bank.

Brentford? What happened to the Championship clubs who were in for him then?

Alan McCormack @almc16 1m M4 is lonely dark place at this time of night. Not to mention they've closed it between 2 jcts. FML......
