For someone who can play left back, right back and centre back I think we've made a mistake letting him go.

Not his best positions agreed, but can cover if needs be.

We were so close to having Venezuelan international. Goodbye Joe, goodbye.

I wonder how many fond farewells Chris Smith will get once he joins Loughborough Dynamo?

I'd say his full back stints were  better than McCormack's, yeah

"Joe's a magnificent signing for the club. We couldn't believe Swindon had released him and got in touch right away," said Portsmouth manager Guy Whittingham."

It'll take some signings to convince me that we're not going to self-destruct.

I very much doubt we'll be doing much in the way of signings, more a case of see who we're left with when the season starts and then pad out with some loans if there's been a major clear out.

I don't disagree. I include loans in 'signings'. I can see Macca, Wes and Flint going, Rooney not coming, and time running out to assemble a competitive team let alone squad before the new season starts. And yes, I am a pessimist when it comes to STFC.

All the best to him. Still think that he was our best central defender.
