Credit where it's due though, they're pretty strong mentally and never seem to know when they're beaten...some of the defending though was STFC on a bad day and Jess Carter reminded me of the pre-Holloway version of Freckleton!

Jess Carter had a mare. Her lack of pace was taken advantage of time after time.
The penalty shoot out was *entertaining*. I have to say Lucy Bronze's penalty was right out of the top drawer, alongside Kevin Pressman's 'leather it into the stanchion' at Wolves many years ago.

They need to swallow their pride and accept they need smaller pitches and at the very least shorter matches. They were basically physically incapable of kicking a ball properly by the shoot out.

I watched the highlights. We aren't going further if we don't sort out the defending. Woeful.
Only saw some of the penalties as they didn't put them all on the BBC reel. Jesus! They're all Chris waddle

Not sure it would be a pride that is the barrier but on a serious note, it would massively improve the women’s game in my view playing on 90% sized pitch, with 90% sized goals. Better for everyone, just impractical logistically I guess. |

Not seen anything of his pre-season appearances but know he's been featuring which already shows how much they like him. Seen some vids of him over the last year, he certainly looks a player to be excited about, carries it in the middle like Gazza, too early for comparisons aside. |
