Ordinarily I'd be the first to decry 'whataboutery' but compare him to the selfish behaviour of Kyle Walker during lockdown.

That wouldn't be whataboutery, though.

How old is he - 22? Just think what we were all doing at his age. Would be far easier for him to keep his head down and enjoy life as a multi-millionaire. Amazing and fantastic to see what he’s been doing and to hear him explain why through his own experience of being hungry as a kid - so impressive.
There's a few footballers have started stepping up to the plate lately and have been impressive. Rashford obviously on this but also Sterling has stuck his neck out on racism, despite the flack he takes from the obvious quarters. Not always especially comfortable with players intervening in the political sphere, tbh, but I think in both instances they've more been speaking about morality and simple common decency than out and out politics per se.

Indeed, although I wait to see when the right wing papers go after him for daring to mke their party look rather silly and heartless.

Why can't they stop bloody lying!

'PM understands issues facing families across UK. He'll respond to Marcus Rashford’s letter as soon as he can'
-Official Spokesman June 15

'I congratulated him on his campaign which I only became aware of very recently, in fact today'

I believe the VAR operator has been sent on a drive to Barnard Castle this morning.

It does show one of the fears of technology has become true - the officials have utterly abdicated their own responsibility.  The ball was behind the fucking post linesman!

Two things that should happen, both things could already be in place
  - Hawkeye should report periods of being unservicable.
  - The referee or moreso the VAR review room should be able to review a clear and obvious Hawkeye error.

A 1 in 9000 failure rate is hardly a big issue in the technology.
