I remember Forfar 5 East Fife 4.... Jan 64
Being misreported by BBC then, they're claiming this is the first time this result has ever happened. I'm going with Reg on this - the voice of authority

In the league match between Forfar Athletic and East Fife on Wednesday, 22 April 1964, the result was Forfar 5, East Fife 4.[2][3]

It appears Regipedia has the date a bit out but otherwise correct

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/45405476I quite like this, it's a hard sport to dissect and apply the marginal gains stuff at times, but you often hear grumblings at throw-ins. Either fans think players are not moving, or the throw-ins are wasted. I'd hazard a guess because nobody bothers to train on the things, I certainly never remember doing anything when younger bar the act of learning how to take one. McCourt had a decent length throw it seemed, something to work on with other players as well though.

To be honest the vast majority of players need training just to take a legal throw in these days, the number of frankly farcical false throws that don't get picked up is ridiculous, its become like the no ball rule in Cricket.

Interesting change to the loan system proposed by FIFA. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45643965So each club can only have a maximum of 6 players out on loan from their club at any one time to stop bigger clubs hoarding talent. Currently Chelsea has 40 players on loan at lower league clubs this season.
